iPhone or iPad Setup
Use this flow for a new MFLEX iPhone or iPad assigned through Apple Automated Device Enrollment.
-
Power on and connect to a network.
Turn on the device and begin Setup Assistant. Connect to Wi-Fi when prompted. If you are replacing an existing iPhone or iPad, use Quick Start only if IT has approved data transfer; otherwise choose Set Up Manually.
-
Activate eSIM if prompted.
Newer iPhone models may not have a physical SIM card. If prompted to move your phone number, choose Transfer from another iPhone and follow the on-screen steps.
-
Confirm cellular service.
Wait for activation to complete, make a test inbound and outbound call, then turn Wi-Fi off and confirm web browsing works on cellular data. If activation fails, contact IT before continuing.

When the Remote Management screen appears and identifies MFLEX, tap Next or Enroll. Sign in with your MFLEX company email address when prompted. The management profile is installed automatically through ADE.

Open Company Portal if prompted.
Company Portal may install automatically after setup. Open it, sign in with your company email address, and follow any prompts to finish device registration. Do not manually download Company Portal from the App Store unless IT instructs you to do so.

Rename the device.
Open Settings, go to General, tap About, select Name, and rename the device as instructed by IT.
-
Allow required location access.
After enrollment, open Settings, go to Privacy & Security, Location Services, Company Portal, and set access to Always if IT requires it for compliance checks.
-
Install required MFLEX apps.
Accept prompts to Manage and Install required MFLEX apps. Allow installations to finish before opening Outlook, Teams, or other work apps.

Verify work email in Outlook.
Open Microsoft Outlook, sign in, and confirm company email access. Company email is not supported in the native iOS Mail app.

Troubleshooting
Stop and contact IT if setup does not match these instructions.

- FedEx or UPS delivery fails or the device arrives damaged.
- iPhone eSIM transfer or cellular activation fails.
- ADE does not show Remote Management for MFLEX.
- Company Portal cannot complete device registration.
- The device does not become compliant after enrollment.
For Android QR enrollment:
- The
afw#setupcode does not start enrollment. - The QR code is missing, expired, or does not scan.

If Outlook or Authenticator has errors:
- Confirm enrollment is complete and the device is compliant.
- Delete the problem app from the device.
- Reinstall the app from Company Portal or the managed app catalog.
- Open the app again, sign in, and test MFA or email access.
