Purpose

It is the desire of Multi-Fineline Electronix, Inc. (the "Company") to provide its personnel with the technology necessary to conduct business activities on behalf of the Company in an efficient and effective manner. This includes providing eligible Company personnel with certain mobile devices, which may include but are not limited to, cellular phones, smartphones, tablets, laptops and other wireless communication devices (collectively, "Mobile Device(s)"), for the primary purpose of conducting Company business.

Scope

This Mobile Device Policy ("Policy") (a) establishes eligibility guidelines for Company-owned Mobile Devices, (b) outlines the Mobile Device options supported by the Company, (c) provides guidelines for acceptable use of Mobile Devices, (d) sets forth the user's responsibilities and the Company's rights with respect to Mobile Devices, and (e) addresses other matters related to Mobile Devices.

This Policy applies to all Company personnel in the United States who are provided with a Mobile Device by the Company or who conduct work-related duties or maintain Company information (including emails, documents, etc.) on a Mobile Device (collectively referred to herein as "Users").

Policy

The Company may, at its sole discretion and in accordance with this Policy, provide eligible Company personnel with Mobile Device(s) and related telecommunication carrier services, at the Company's expense, for the primary purpose of conducting Company business.

1. Mobile Device Eligibility

Eligibility is determined by Company executive management based on business need.

Determinations on eligibility for Company-owned Mobile Devices will be made by the Company's executive management in its sole discretion. Eligibility determinations are generally based on job requirements and responsibilities, with the focus being on positions with duties that require an individual to have readily-available access to email, phone and/or internet for Company business purposes. In general, eligible Company personnel will be provided with one Mobile Device at a time. Company personnel who believe their job duties and responsibilities require the use of a Company Mobile Device should contact their manager.

2. User Responsibilities

Users must protect Company devices and Company information.

Mobile Devices provided by the Company are the property of the Company and are to be used primarily to conduct Company business. Users are responsible for ensuring the security and safe-keeping of the Mobile Device as well as using the Mobile Device in accordance with Company policies. In addition, it is important to prevent sensitive or confidential Company information maintained on a Mobile Device from being lost, stolen or compromised. Accordingly, all Users must observe and comply with the following:

  • Users are expected to use reasonable care and take reasonable precautions to protect and safeguard Mobile Devices from misuse, damage, loss and theft.
  • All Mobile Devices must be password or security (e.g., fingerprint) protected.
  • Mobile Devices should not be loaned to, or used by, anyone other than the User.
  • Users are prohibited from using Mobile Devices for illegal activity, harassment, or any other purpose that is prohibited by the Company's policies.
  • Users must maintain Mobile Devices in accordance with the instructions of the Company and the IT Department, which may include installing software updates, removing or deactivating certain content/applications, and taking other Company-recommended security measures.
  • Users must obey all federal, state and local laws and regulations, including traffic laws, related to Mobile Devices.
  • Users are prohibited from using a Company-issued Mobile Device while operating a motor vehicle, unless the User is utilizing a hands-free device in compliance with applicable laws. For the safety of Company personnel and others, the Company recommends that Users pull over and stop at a safe location to dial, text, send or read messages on a Mobile Device.

3. Company's Right to Monitor and Protect Company Property

The Company may monitor, modify, reclaim, or manage Company-paid Mobile Devices.

In order to protect the Company, its property, and to prevent sensitive or confidential Company information maintained on a Mobile Device from being lost, stolen or compromised, the Company has the right to monitor all Mobile Devices that are provided and paid for by the Company. The Company may, in its discretion and without notice, take the following measures:

  • Monitor the Company's communication and messaging systems, including communications and data on a User's Mobile Device.
  • Modify the content on a Mobile Device, including remotely altering, wiping or resetting a Mobile Device.
  • Turn off/on cellular, data and other services on a Mobile Device.
  • Reclaim possession of a Mobile Device owned by the Company at any time and for any reason.

In addition, the Company may take such other measures related to Company-owned Mobile Devices as may be deemed necessary or advisable by Company management, provided that all measures taken by the Company must comply with all applicable laws. Please refer to the "Monitoring of Company Property" section of the Company's Colleague Resource Guide for further details.

4. Approved Mobile Devices

Supported devices, operating systems, and upgrade rules.

Mobile Devices

The Company prefers to use Mobile Devices and operating systems from its customer base. The following are the Mobile Devices and operating systems that are currently supported by the Company. Eligible Users may choose the current base model of one Mobile Device listed below:

Mobile Device Operating System
Apple iPhone iOS
Samsung Galaxy Android
Google Pixel Android

The IT Department and the Company's management may update the list of approved Mobile Devices from time to time. Any request for a Mobile Device not listed above requires business justification and approval from both the Company's Chief Information Officer ("CIO") and the User's supervisor at the executive level ("Executive Supervisor").

Device model and storage examples are current examples as of May 2026. The approved base model, upgrade model, and storage options may change each year based on available devices, carrier offerings, inventory, and IT standards.

Upgrades

Users at the director level or above are eligible for a configuration upgrade one level above the base model. This is defined as either a model upgrade or a storage space upgrade (up to $100 USD in value).

Model Upgrade Example Storage Upgrade Example
iPhone model: iPhone 17 to iPhone 17 Pro iPhone storage: 256GB to 512GB
Samsung model: Galaxy S26 to Galaxy S26+ Samsung storage: 256GB to 512GB

Any other upgrade(s) require business justification and approval from the CIO and the User's Executive Supervisor.

5. Mobile Device Carriers and Usage

Domestic carrier standards and international service requirements.

Carriers and Domestic Usage

The Company has designated the following carriers for Mobile Devices: AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile. Use of any other carrier requires business justification and approval by the CIO and the User's Executive Supervisor.

The IT Department will assist with setting up a Mobile Device plan, which generally consists of a two-year contract with one of the designated carriers. The Company generally assigns each applicable Mobile Device a line of service through a shared domestic plan for voice and data. The shared plan provides a set amount of minutes and data that is shared among a set group of Users.

Mobile Devices are to be used primarily for Company business purposes. That said, the Company permits Mobile Devices to be used for non-business (personal) use, provided that the User shall still comply with this Policy. Users are expected not to exceed a reasonable amount of minutes and data each month (for both business and non-business purposes). For purposes of this section, "reasonable" means an amount similar to other Company personnel in similar positions or with similar job responsibilities. Users should inform the IT Department in advance if they believe their use will be above reasonable or normal levels for their position.

International Usage

For Users who are frequent international business travelers (three or more trips per year), the Company will subscribe to an international roaming feature (both voice and data) for use while traveling on international Company business.

For Users who are occasional international business travelers (less than three trips per year), the User should contact the IT Department at least one week prior to each international business trip. The IT Department will arrange for international service for the User for each trip.

6-7. Orders, Renewals, Upgrades, and Accessories

How Company-provided Mobile Devices and accessories are handled.

6. Mobile Device Orders and Renewals/Upgrades

All orders and upgrade requests for Mobile Devices provided by the Company must be processed through the IT Department. Users are generally eligible for a new/upgraded Mobile Device at the end of their contract (generally every two years). Users may start the upgrade request process no earlier than one month prior to their eligibility date. Any request for an early renewal or upgrade must be approved by the CIO and the User's Executive Supervisor.

7. Mobile Device Accessories

Mobile Device accessories (car chargers, memory cards, phone covers, additional batteries, etc.) must be purchased separately by the User. If pre-approved by the User's Executive Supervisor, a User may request expense reimbursement for accessories, subject to the Company's expense reimbursement policies. Users should consult with their manager before purchasing any accessories for which they may seek reimbursement from the Company.

8-9. Policy Compliance and Separation of Employment

Consequences for non-compliance and obligations when employment ends.

8. Policy Compliance

Failure to comply with this Policy may result in a warning, notification of the User's manager/Executive Supervisor, and/or appropriate remedial action, which may include but is not limited to, revocation of privileges or disciplinary action up to termination of employment. The Company has the right to collect from Users excessive charges that are shown not to be related to Company business.

9. User Obligations and Company Rights upon Separation of Employment

Upon termination or separation of employment, (a) the User must return to the IT Department all Company-issued Mobile Devices and any accessories provided by (or reimbursed by) the Company, and (b) the Company may remotely remove all data from and reset a User's Mobile Device. The Company may charge the User for any Mobile Device(s) and accessories not returned to the Company within ten (10) days after termination or separation of employment.

10-12. Lost, Damaged, or Malfunctioning Devices

What Users should do when a Mobile Device is lost, stolen, broken, damaged, or not working properly.

10. What happens if a Mobile Device is lost or stolen?

In the event a User's Mobile Device is lost or stolen, the User must notify his or her manager and the IT Department immediately. The Company may choose to replace the Mobile Device at the Company's expense with the approval of the User's Executive Supervisor. If the Company determines that the Mobile Device was lost due to negligence or carelessness on the part of the User, the User may be responsible for the cost to purchase a replacement Mobile Device through the Company's IT department.

11. What happens if a Mobile Device is broken or damaged?

In the event a User's Mobile Device is broken or damaged, the User should notify the IT Department as soon as practical. Depending on the circumstances in which the Mobile Device was broken or damaged, the Company may choose to repair or replace the Mobile Device at the Company's expense with the approval of the User's Executive Supervisor. If the Company determines that the Mobile Device was damaged due to negligence or carelessness on the part of the User, the User may be responsible for the cost to repair or purchase a replacement Mobile Device through the Company's IT department.

12. What happens if a Mobile Device is not functioning properly?

In the event a User's Mobile Device is not functioning properly, the User should notify the IT Department as soon as practical. The IT department will assess the issue and assist with the appropriate corrective action(s) to restore the Mobile Device.

If a Mobile Device is not functioning properly during the first year of a two-year contract and the IT Department determines that the Mobile Device needs to be fixed or replaced, the User will generally be provided with a "warranty replacement" of the same phone. If a mobile device is not functioning properly during the second year of a two-year contract and the IT Department determines that the device needs to be fixed or replaced, the IT Department will determine the best solution, which may include fixing the Mobile Device, a warranty replacement or a new Mobile Device.

13. Policy Updates and Approvals

The Company may update, revise, withdraw, add to, or make exceptions to this Policy.

The Company will use reasonable efforts to notify Users of any changes to this Policy, however the Company reserves the right to change, revise, withdraw or add to this Policy at any time without prior notice if Company management deems necessary. In addition, the Company retains the right to make exceptions to this Policy and/or approve matters related to Mobile Devices, whether or not addressed in this Policy.
